It is very much a cult, imo. I’ve had to distance myself from friends who are “Swifties” because their behavior kind of scares me in a cult-like way. They do not know Taylor Swift personally at all but they act like she is their childhood best friend. Really spooky stuff.

Taylor Swift is an American folk-pop singer. And yes the level of devotion some of her fans have is really disturbing. She has male fans who want to do unspeakable things (mainly sexual) to her. Most of her fans are young women though, but they have a similar level of devotion. Her fans are so weird that when she's not working she's stuck in her mansion.
