Absolutely not. I’m glad I never smoked in my teens or 20s and I regret drinking.
You’re not missing much.

You probably wouldn't have enjoyed the drinking-and-smoking crowd, because it would have been (I bet you) a weird batch. People who respect you, will respect you as person, not as ash-tray and human storm drain.

Smoking and drinking are overrated. I am addicted to drinking and I am certain you do not want that.

Never think you missed out because of those behaviors. You missed out because of social choices you made with the information you had at the time. You still have choices in front of you about how to be a confident independent person that is attractive as a partner.

IMO smoking and drinking are over-rated social activities.

Cinema, bowling, mini-golf, arcade, movie nights, meals out, activities like Go Ape or trampolining, just chilling at each other’s houses... you name it. So many ways to socialise!

For sure, the way to happiness is to be as phony as possible, forcing yourself to partake
in activities that are unpleasant, unappealing to you, and harmful to your health.

Think of the many joys you've been denied by not smoking & drinking: bronchitis, lung cancer, at the very
least a smoker's cough, waking up in the morning hacking and spitting; hangovers, black outs, puking,
engaging in behavior that you later regret. And the thrill of the monetary cost.

Markness, I enjoy some alcoholic drinks, but in moderation. Are there wineries in Texas? A fun date would be visiting one or two for tastings. Some friends and I have even snowshoed cross country between wineries.

There are but I never think to go to them. I am just so drained these days.

What would be the point? You've said several times you don't like alcohol.

In the right context, and for the right reasons, alcoholic drinks in moderation can be nice. A microbrewery in Frankfort in conjunction with the theater next door put on a Dark and Stormcloudy Night of a movie and a dinner based on the film with a beer pairing with each course. It was fun - saw A Brand New Testament (hilarious) with a Belgian inspired meal.

Yes, and Markness has said he doesn't enjoy alcoholic beverages, at all.
Visiting breweries/wineries doesn't make sense for him, as entertainment.

@tree I actually don’t mind the rare wine and champagne for the right times. However, I can only stomach just one drink at a time. Beer makes me physically ill and that is what most people in my neck of the woods prefer.
