I sound like I’m going through puberty lol

The most common things people say about my voice are that I “sound like a kid” or that I “sound like a teenage boy”

I did video journaling for a while, repeat exposure to what you sound like recorded normalizes it rather quickly. Afterwards the notion of disliking what you sound like feels almost silly. And it definitely is silly in a way, no offense. You sound and look completely fine.

Maybe you are already expecting this answer from me, but I think you actually sound lovely. I really liked the sound of your voice in that video.

When I play back my own voice it sounds nothing like me for some weird reason!

My voice is as smooth as velvet draped over George Costanza.

I like your voice, not too high pitched and irritating. It was also nice to be able to see a bit of genuine expression in your face instead of just smiling for the camera.

It's a nice voice and I love the accent. I'm a sucker for American accents. :) It just sounds good.

It's not embarrassing, Luca; you have a clear & pleasant voice. Deeper voices are fine. A lot of autistic ladies have lower voices. My girlfriend has a lower/deeper voice; she kind of talks like a guy. It's OK.

I think your voice sounds great. Mine is bad and robotic. I hate hearing myself recorded.

Although I think I sound bad no one has ever pointed it out.

^ I bet it sounds nice. If we compare ourselves to Allistic people, we will always fail. But our voices are natural for us, and it's natural we find pleasure in other Autistic voices.

Mr Stevens, after hearing enough high-pitched NT screeching to last a lifetime, I think many NT's happen have just the voice for the silent movies and the perfect faces for radio. We certainly do not always fail compared to non-autistic people.

I don't think you understood. I wasn't saying Allistic voices are better and we should just accept ourselves. I was saying we shouldn't measure ourselves by standards which don't fit us. When people on here complain about their voice, it sounds like this is what they are doing. That's my interpretation, anyway.

A soft, pleasant voice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it didn't sound like you "pahk the cah" either. ;)

I've managed to diminish my Tidewater accent over the years, unless someone gets my dander up...lol. Still on occasion yankees and westerners have no idea what I'm saying. My bad... :p

You have a perfectly fine voice Luca! Very nice and relaxed sounding :-) I don't like my voice. My voice is naturally quite deep, but I tend to naturally talk in the upper register which I think makes me sound younger. I suspect certain people think this makes me less worthy of respect. Then there are the times where I'm not doing real well and I end up sounding like a deep drone though.

My voice is gruff sometimes but I try to not be.

@Judge You’re correct, I don’t have a Boston accent lol
