I don't know.
Why can't you ?

Go to a restaurant and order one of your favorite foods. Eat it slowly, savor every bite. Then go home and blast your favorite metal if you don't have to worry about neighbors. If I can have fun by myself, so can you.

What makes you unhappy on a Friday? Is there something you would like to be doing but can't? What would make you feel happy if you could do it?

I'm only bummed there are no yoga classes Friday night where I go and that they are closed on Saturday. It is the sabbath.

@MildredHubble I don’t have a girlfriend nor can I get a date. If I had someone who loved me, I wouldn’t feel so down.

I understand @Markness. It's very normal and understandable feeling that having a partner will make you feel better. You will find someone I'm sure. In the meantime focus on yourself and the things you enjoy. Try to get fulfillment from other things in your life. Try not to feel like you need to rush to find someone. The opportunity will present itself :)

@Markness "If I had someone who loved me, I wouldn’t feel so down."

That's true.
If only you'd act in a caring way toward yourself
that would count for one.
It can't be fun telling yourself those mean stories that you
tell about yourself to yourself. Why not stop doing that?

@tree As they say "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink." We are all saying similar things but right now I don't think they can just stop. It's a difficult thing to do, but I think Markness needs relearn how to be kind to himself and value who they are and the unique person they are.

I don't think it's a case of "relearning" actually.
I think it's starting from scratch.
