A lot of members have mentioned being from Florida, and Florida is relatively easy for me to travel to by plane or by car (potentially if something more formal were planned.) It's only like a 2.5 - 3 hour flight for me depending on where in Florida.
Doesn't have to be in Florida, just throwing that out there. I'm also close to NYC, Boston, and can easily get to Washington DC by train.

I suggest you have the meeting in Sweden. That would make it a lot easier for me to attend. ;)

No one in my family knows I use this website. I would have some "explaining" to do if I attended--but I'd like to.

My family doesn't know I use this site either and neither do my irl friends. I don't know how to explain it to them since most of them don't understand the autism experience.

I'm in Illinois but can theoretically get anywhere (in the US) with little trouble as money isnt an issue. What is an issue is the area though, I cant do urban areas whatsoever. Gotta be rural/country. Or tropical island, that works too.

México is out of the question, but I like the idea.

@Misery I hate urban areas too! I live in the country, I have for the past decade.
Tropical places are great for me too.
I was suggesting Boston, NYC, or DC as general meeting places but I would 100% prefer not to go anywhere urban.

Maybe in outer space? That’s where I live, but y’all can stay on my spaceship for guests.

I also wouldn't enjoy a city, but in most of the places I'd recommend most of you would melt.

I was actually thinking the same many months ago as I like getting experience socializing, if not to feel more connection with others. I notice several here in the EST time zone, whether northeast, Great Lakes or nearby areas. I too am a rural type and into nature stuff, not cities. Currently in Michigan, but lived and traveled in Northeast. So, I'm open to the idea.

Weirdly I've thought about this too. As others have said, the logistics would be a bit of a nightmare!

I would invite everyone to my place if I could but the Atlantic ocean is in the way for the Americans and I'm sort of on the edge of the world, too far away and too difficult for most. Inconvenient.

That could be fun. A bunch of us from Sierra Club outings meet up about every three years. Last time I helped by organizing a kayak trip on a local river. My trailer was greviously overloaded with 9 boats. My spouse led a group of tubers on the lower section and we were able to catch up with them.

This year we are in Breckenridge Colorado and I will organize an outing to collect insect fossils near Florissant.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest but am open to visiting other places (US).

I enjoy trip planning and itinerary building and so if we were to do such an event I'd be happy to help anyone with figuring out travel arrangements.
