Where a person is born and where he lives while growing up are two different things. By necessity a newborn is in close proximity to the mother. Later, it becomes more of a choice, on the part of the child.

Yes. In the time you spend on here seeking sympathy, I mean--you could be seeking an old car & some spare parts. Take one hell of a road trip.

I was studying on line. College was in CT, I was in SC. Wanted to go see the place so I just went & got my car out, told my folks I was going north--they were pretty far from thrilled--but I sure enough did go north, and had a real fine adventure.

Ended up moving here. Now living in Connecticut has been hell on skates but I've had an unforgettable adventure.

Cars are expensive and I don’t have any mechanical abilities so I wouldn’t be able to really pull off what @Gerontius is suggesting to me any time soon.

Mine was literally headed for the scrap yard, and since it was an old '90s Corolla I could find parts & spares pretty cheap. Sometimes even a train ticket can get you exploring.

I don’t know how I’ll get another job without a college degree and I don’t even think I have a resume.

I literally walked in somewhere and asked for a job, going over next Monday to see about a full-time one at the brass factory. I don't have a degree either.

You don't need a fancy resume. I just showed up on the porch & was like "any jobs?" and they needed a guy. Now a few months ago they had no openings
