  • o: Heiiiiii native Norwegian speaker!! *is special-interested-ly-happy* I haven't logged on in a while! I know a bit more now compared to when I wrote that post.... men jeg er alltid for sjenert til (?) å praktisere

Putting the object «andre» to preposisjonen «fremfor» translates to «before others» or «in front of others». So the sentence becomes «I am always too shy to practice my Norwegian pronounciation and grammar in front of others».

Another alternative to «fremfor andre» is «tilsynelatende» which means «being seen by others», probably there exist a better translataion for that word than my 4... But it's the general meaning. «Jeg er alltid for sjenert til å praktiserere tilsynelatende».

It's shorter, more concise. «tilsynelatende snakker jeg ikke Norsk». I am not conscious to most of the Norwegian grammar (I just speak it), but I can translate English for u, if u leave profile posts. Ok. Too many separate posts.

I think social consequences forces us to experience different angles, thus have different escapes and longings. Other than what our wired brains makes us do.
