I was raised in Sør-Trøndelag, therefore I speak the dialect of «trønderskt», though the dialect of «bokmål» is used for business / school / government matters, etc. Your sentence in trønderskt «men æ e allti for sjenert te å praktiser», yours was in bokmål.

And maybe, because you're (always) too shy to practice Norwegian, that would imply in front of other people, right?
