Autistic boy thrown off Bus because he didn't "look" disabled.

Well, the buses here in Northern Virginia aren't too shabby. Metrorail and Fairfax Connector buses tend to be clean and well ordered. I don't take the bus much because I have a car and can drive, but I don't mind the bus.

    Breaking Rules You're Unaware Of

It's pretty simple. Be on time. I know; it's easier said than done for me, too. So I always wear a watch, everywhere I go. Remember, it's not just NTs who are fussy about punctuality. ;o)

How does eye contact 'feel" for you.

Ugh...I hate making eye contact; it's so uncomfortable. I can't even look at a picture of a person in the eye. There's something about the human face that I can't focus on, no matter what.

    Aspergers and White Nationalism

Correlation does not imply causation. For example, I live in Virginia and I drive a Toyota. Does this mean that every Toyota driver lives in Virginia, or that every Virginian drives a Toyota? Of course not. It's the same way here. Some of us auties are left-wing, others right-wing. About...

Autistic boy thrown off Bus because he didn't "look" disabled.

Not necessarily. It's important to remember that we only have the disabled person's word for it. We don't have the bus driver's side recorded. As an autist myself, I naturally sympathize with the passenger. Yet, in fairness, I have to acknowledge that the bus driver may very well have had...

Dying Earbuds: If there's ONE THING that i can't stand...

Oh yeah...I was lucky enough to inherit Grandpa's old watch. He got it back in 1959 and wore it until his death in 1994. My dad got it and put it in a drawer until he died in 2015. I pulled it out of storage, wound it up, set it...and it keeps time almost as well as the clock on my...

Dying Earbuds: If there's ONE THING that i can't stand...

Wow. I guess your next gripe will be the fact that the cheap watch you purchased at the same Family Dollar isn't on par with a Patek Phillipe Grand Complication. Quality costs money; you get what you pay for. Good earbuds will cost you about twenty-some bucks. If you can't afford that, then...

    Hello from Virginia

Thank you for your welcome, one and all. I appreciate it. My avatar is a picture I took along a big construction site near the corner of 29th Street and South Potomac Avenue in Arlington, Virginia back in Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 3:24PM. I like the way the hydrant looks surrounded by those...

    Hello from Virginia

Hi, I was diagnosed with autism as a child, and am looking for support. I hope to learn independent living, and perhaps make some friends too. Ever since my dad passed on a few years back, I've had to live independently. My stepfather and mother are helping a LOT, but it's still a struggle...
