Anyone have autistic parents but didn't realize it until recently?

Hmmm...both my parents were athletes and well coordinated, as was I for a little while. I was well coordinated while in sports but outside of that I'm always bumping into people or things. My mom definitely has SOMETHING...idk if it's histrionic personality disorder or what, but with both my...

Anyone have autistic parents but didn't realize it until recently?

Not out of line at all. We (my family) know he is depressed and has been for much of his life. They don't believe in mental health, psychiatry/doctors etc etc, they don't have the money for it, I live far away now so I don't know what I can do to help.

My job is at the university I am attending so I think they will be very understanding. I have not been formally diagnosed, my school says that in order to get accommodations I have to pay for the test which is a 6 month wait at the center they’d refer me to. However, I can be diagnosed by the...

Anyone have any suggestions of signs I could be missing or other symptoms I may identify with but I can’t remember at the moment? Thank you all for being so welcoming and responsive.

Trying to figure this out while trying to get a referral for testing from my school disability resource center. I get this is a long process but I am willing to wait as long as it takes. Just really discouraged because I’ve been waiting on a referral and the person I was supposed to see for that...
