    the world would be sadder without Bob, even sadder than that in my opinion without Joni Mitchell. I just realised earlier how often when i need to meditate i let a record play to the end and just listen to the constant swish, swish at the very end. There's something assuring in that.

    the internet archive is great, there is an entire section for 78s and cylinders there. also a lot of old radio stuff :d I forgot to mention I also keep a blog on these records where you can hear some, this is at listen to the gramophone

To me these are just about the most fascinating thing on this planet.. anything recorded pre 1925 fascinates me...

    oh, yeah. I am a real music obsessive unfortunately. I also collect records and old, very old recordings. I have... around 10 thousand 78rpm records, 1900s to 50s, 3 wind up gramophones to play them on. a few thousand albums, 50s to 70s, mostly 50s/60s rock and roll/jazz/60s psychedelic stuff...

    ah, thanks folks. I'd thought so for a while but wasn't totaly sure, as I didn't think many aspies got overly excited for the things i get really excited and happy about etc. I've always had and done these things and really i'm guessing it should have been picked up on before now, ah well...
