    Do You Stutter?

Yes when my AS is worse than normal in particular I find my speech can be heavily impacted. Either by not being able to get my words out quickly enough (stuttering), or not being able to speak at all.

    Exercise

Definitely something I obsess over, I find exercise massively therapeutic, not only because of endorphins etc., but also because it gives me the space I need away from others when I am on my bike or running. I become very upset when I can't do it though, it is very stressful.

I'd recommend watching his talk on empathy on YouTube (or reading his book, 'zero degrees of empathy' if you're a reader). He defines two different types of empathy, which may go someway...

    Managing unhealthy obsessions

I certainly know what this feels like. Mine are inappropriate when they are about people... Massively unhealthy. And they can be difficult to avoid at times! Do you think forcing a new obsession works?

    New job stress

Thank you all for the kind words and support. I am starting to settle in more now, although am still feeling extremely stressed. I think it is knowing my job is not 100% permanent and that I will need to be looking elsewhere soon... as I'm sure you all know, that's not ideal!

    New job stress

Hi all, Sorry for having been away for so long, it's been a manic few weeks. I've recently started a new job, and as I'm sure you can all imagine have been finding it all enormously stressful. Meeting new colleagues, new pupils etc. getting used to new routines and expectations on me as a...
