  • I had to go to Walmart for the second time this week to return some jeans I bought a couple days ago because they were too small. Did get a couple new pairs that fit fine though and a Transformer I'd been eyeing for a while was was marked down to $9 from the original price of $22.
I went to Wendy's today for lunch with my grandpa for the first time in probably at least a year and it turns out Wendy's has a wrap now and that's what I had and it was really good, I like wraps and I wish more fast food places had wraps. (Bring back the McWrap McDonald's)
I didn't just buy earplugs today, I bought SIX PAIRS of reusable earplugs. (Two three packs)

Once I swapped to silicone ones I never looked back. They're also a good way to go up to bigger sizes. Just buy one a few mm larger, and pop it in and it gradually expands. Much nicer than tapers. They always felt quite medieval. Ugh, the pop. The pain. No.
I got a haircut today and my barber messed up and cut my hair too short. Legit want to cry over it.

There are some cute baseball hats with shoulder length hair for sale on the internet. Maybe some clip on bangs to make you feel better. Eat protein to help.

If it’s something you’re into Viola, clip on bangs and extensions can help. Is your hair still long enough to tie back to create shorter updo hairstyles like a small topknot or low ponytail?

@mysterionz It is very much not long enough to do any of that.
I went to the library today and I found they had Cosmos on DVD, so I borrowed that and copies of A Briefer History of Time and The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow.
I'm going to be going on that day trip to Washington DC on 6 May but I think I should buy some earplugs before I go because of my sensory problems when it comes to noise because I don't want to look rude by using my earbuds as earplugs.

Don't worry about appearing rude. It's not your job to please others.

I always bring my noise cancelling headphones with me when travelling and ensure they're fully charged.
It turns out that the bagel I threw out cuz it was moldy and had a cockroach in it had actually opened slightly, so that's likely why it started going moldy and had the roach. The other bagel is fine, it's still 100% sealed and soft like a bagel should be. No mold or roaches here.

Bagels are friggin’ amazing when they do not have roaches or mold in them. I like mine toasted with cream cheese and a small slice of smoked salmon.
I don't know how this happened but there was cockroach INSIDE the wrapping of one of my individually wrapped bagels. There was also mold on the bagel too so I tossed it.
Really hoping prices for the Raspberry Pi 4 go back to normal soon, wanna get one for my birthday to use as a little emulation box but I don't wanna have to pay inflated prices from sellers on Amazon for the board itself. MSRP is $75 for the 8 GB model, I ain't paying nearly $200 for that.

@Gerontius Yeah I think I could technically get by with the 1 GB RAM version, but I think I'd prefer to wait for the chance to get one with slightly more RAM for some extra headroom at MSRP. Thanks for the offer though.

No worries! I bought mine to build a word-processor with using the frame from a scrapped 1924 Remington No. 12 typewriter. That plan was ruined when I had to move in a hurry & could not pack the typewriter parts--I saved the parts I could re-use on good typewriters. Best of luck on your project; it seems like all the fun maker-style products are going up in price since the 2020 pandemic.

Oh yeah definitely. Luckily it seems places do get them in at MSRP, you just gotta grab one when they do otherwise they'll sell out pretty quick and you might have to wait a while longer for them to come back in stock.
I weigh 180 lbs which means I just need to lose two more pounds and I'll no longer be considered overweight for my height.

@Rodafina I'm imagining a vending machine stuffed with fruit inside a bar. I'm hoping it's kept cool and the fruit is regularly switched out. two pounds does seem quite expensive for a banana however...

@Rodafina "fruit machine" is British English for a "slot machine" - fruit being a reference to the classic lemon / cherry / orange etc. used on the wheels.

Slot machines are everywhere in the UK. Even highway rest stops, and there isn't anything really stopping a kid from playing one since they're often unsupervised.

So no squished bananas, I guess.

Thank you, @VictorR. Learned something new.
I found the other plugs of my RCA cable for my VCR/DVD combo unit. Well 'found', of course the composite video plug and right audio plug were right next to the left audio plug, they just got stuck behind some other cables so I only saw the one plug lol.
When I was taking out my earbuds at the grocery store earlier today, one of my earbud tips fell out and I lost it and that was terrible because I needed to use my earbuds because of my sensory issues when it comes to noise. Had to resort to covering up my ears with my hands instead. :(

(I have spare earbud tips at home, but I couldn't just head home to get a spare and then head back to the store)
Went to Best Buy but sadly I think it's the DC in that's the problem on my laptop, need to get that fixed...I could replace it myself but I also have a couple other issues that need fixed
Laptop charger died broke...need to get a new one tomorrow...

It's always the worst when those break since the chargers are all different and not one standard type. I hope you're able to find a replacement for a good price tomorrow!
