    College students with autism

I want to go back to school eventually, if work doesn't work out. I'd participate in something like this. I'd put them all to shame for leaving us out of the dialogue!!! I want to start a blog about school and my career after too.

Would my Mom find this website useful?

You have the right to leave and not be tortured by her forcing you to stay in a room and tell her something, unless it's something she has the moral right to know (like if it's about her or business that affects her life literally and directly... not just by "being upset about her daughter").

Looking for people who want to share their experiences with microaggressions

Treatment? Why is treatment necessary? And I've been microaggressed too. People have slandered, ridiculed, libeled, condescended to, hated on, belittled, etc. me for my autism (often assuming I was certain ways I wasn't or had certain traits I didn't) or for my actual autistic tendencies.

    What are your emotional needs?

For people to see me as as competent and sentient as everyone else. Just for people to take it for granted, rather than me having to TELL or SHOW them I'm sentient/competent.

Do you go to therapy? Is your therapist NT?

My therapist (who unfortunately moved away) was great; he was so open-minded despite probably being NT or something close to it. He told me there was nothing wrong with autism. He learned a lot from me though, and admits it.

    What helps YOU?

Lots of reading of Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's books help me humanize myself and teach me how to explain to others why they should humanize autistic people and everyone, and how we're all equal fundamentally.
