    Being Autistic vs. having Autism.

The way I understand it, the majority of autistic people do not like "person first" language, so you're not the only one. Unfortunately, NT's are the one's who made it the more politically correct thing believing it's more "respectable" despite the criticisms against it.

    Need help keeping my girlfriend

I don't get it actually. It seems as though she already expects you to know what you should do but if she really understood Asperger's, she should know that the communication part of this might be a bit difficult.

diffrence reaction to autism in marrige?

There are no such statistics. I assume that she's talking about personal experience, not something that's based on actuals stats.

diffrence reaction to autism in marrige?

I don't agree that an NT wife will necessarily be supportive of the AS partner and an NT husband not. First, of all, most of the NT spouses that complain about having "Cassandra" on internet forums and complain that AS in their partners makes them unable to "empathise" are women. It's true that...

List of Sex, Asperger’s and Autism Resources

Why does she mix links about autism with links about Down's Syndrome?

Should you tell a girlfriend/boyfriend that you have aspergers?

Only disclose when you're comfortable doing so. The problem is that there can be a negative stigma towards it and there's a risk that you might lose your girlfriend/boyfriend if you tell them too early. Especially with the things spread around like those "Cassandra" people claiming that we don't...

Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void intro

So, the opening cinematic trailer for the last expansion set of Starcraft 2, featuring the Protoss, is out and Blizzard announced that it will be released on 10 November. I think it looks good: Is anyone planning on getting it?

What Do You Think Of The Autism Severity Scale?

The criteria listed in Level 1 above does not specify that you have to be incapable of living independently. It just states that problems with organisation and planning may hamper it (emphasis on may) as one of the possible criteria. Also, if the problems affect whether you can hold down a job...

Why I Think **Relationships And Sex** Are Just Too Dangerous For Some Aspies

This is the same thread that you posted on Wrongplanet. I know exactly how you feel because I've never really had a girlfriend either except for the when I was dating someone in 2011 who I never really got to spend time with because of long distance. I've been lonely as well, but you've got...

any books on asperger that you liked the best?

There was a whole discussion about this book on Wrongplanet. I was wondering if someone here could suggest it in the "Autism & Asperger Books" section.

    Routine makes me feel better

It seems to me that NT's often seem to care about things that seem strange to them. Sometimes they're curious, sometimes not.

What are your favorite science fiction movies?

So, it's an insult to call Avatar "good" rather than "fantastic" hey, that sounds about right. Will there be a 2nd Avatar movie?

    Routine makes me feel better

Most of us prefer routines. I guess, the reason why people comment on them is because NT's see it as "odd".

    Anyone using Linux?

I used to use Ubuntu Linux. Now I've got a Mac but I haven't really used Windows for important stuff in years. The last version of Windows that I used was Windows XP, I've never used the later versions of Windows. Instead it was either Linux or Mac OS.
