    career options?

I'm currently a podiatry student so have to interact with patients in a medical setting all the time. You never know what to expect when someone comes into the consultation room however I've learned to adapt and think on the spot. I can see many Aspie's finding such a situation uncomfortable...

What is your job? Likes and dislikes?

I'm a qualified Fitness Specialist however I'm not working as one due to being a university student and the fitness industry is a grey area. Most people in it are more interested in making money than helping people. I also work in a podiatry practice which I find to be a good learning tool.

"Interested" in a co-worker...what to do??

I'd go for it. You don't want to look back on your life wondering "what if?". You'll never know if you don't give it a go. You've got to risk it to get the biscuit. o_O

Do you think autistic adults can get jobs involving social skills?

I'm in a health profession so absolutely, you can be in a job requiring social skills. At the same time, being in one develops those skills so don't be afraid. :)

How Do You Know If You Got the Job After an Interview? How Do I Know?

One thing I've learnt it most employers never get back to you when they say they will. After a few weeks it doesn't hurt to call and ask how the process is going. It shows you're interested and enthusiastic. :)

    Processing Speed and Memory Problems

I find it useful to put words, dates or anything of importance into a picture in my head. Its much easier to remember pictures instead of words. For example, if you have to remember someone's name, put their name to a feature about them so whenever you think of that feature, their name will be...

    Processing Speed and Memory Problems

I've had to learn many intricate skills over my study years which was quite difficult at first. Repetition is your friend. :) you don't need to be the best, just be proactive about trying to improve through memory games etc. :D

My employers won't let me do any work - advice needed.

If I was in your position I'd probably leave. A bored Aspie is not a happy Aspie so if this how it's been for a awhile, it sounds like they are selective about who they let do what. It sounds like you have a fantastic skills set and could probably get a job somewhere else where the work is...

    Irrational Social Anxiety

I've come to the conclusion fear doesn't exist. I used to get extremely nervous when needing to do a speech in front 30+ people but then I decided fear isn't a physical object so therefore it doesn't exist :) I used to be afraid of talking to new people but once someone starts talking to me I...

    Suggesting new videos to instructor

Suggest them to your instructor with a message saying I've come across these and found them useful and thought other students might like them too, may be the way to go. Most instructors/teaching staff like it when students look for more resources so there is no harm in offering them to share :)

    Do you hate to sweat?

After many years of physical activity I've gotten used to it however, I don't enjoy it when I'm just sitting down. Exercise justifies it but its terrible if you're in a formal outfit and start sweating when around people because its so hot.

    Is anyone else a teacher?

I have been a tutor/clinical supervisor in the Health and Wellness Clinic at my previous college. It was my first experience of being in that role. I had never been one to tell people what to do (I had a few students who liked to mess around) so it taught me in that respect how to manage people...
