    My family is bullying me

My dad actually refused to have me evaluated because he did not want a "retard" for a child. Now at 20, I have had no therapy or even slight accommodations throughout life. My dad constantly grounded me for being slow at things I wasn't good at, needing step-by-step instructions, crying when I'm...

Rules for eating or arranging food?

I still have to use the shorter pronged forks. When I lived at my parents' they would purposely give me a larger one. I would freak out and get up to get the proper size. When I did, I would get in trouble for leaving the table and for being picky. I always ate my least favorite thing first and...

What’s With the Good Morning Thing?

I don't really see the point in it either. I do say "Good morning" to my boyfriend, but that's because he works until 6am and I open the door for him when he gets home. People often think I am rude because I just go straight into conversation, but they already know I'm there, so...why say it?

It's really difficult. I've been waking up for a few hours each night because of the heat on not being able to have something heavy on me.

No, they do not cause autism. A quack started saying that. Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism Concerns | Vaccine Safety | CDC

Exactly. I showed my mom a video where a younger kid on the spectrum was explaining how vaccines don't cause autism. She basically dismissed it though because "He's just a kid" o_O

I used to chew on my shirts all the time. I've actually woke up with my fingers in my mouth, and when I look at them they have teeth marks. I hate my fingernails long, but I also hate cutting them... I actually haven't ever play WoW, but a friend has showed it to me. I was rather artistic...

Glad it made you smile! I'm from the US. Last time I called to ask how much it would be to get evaluated they told me without insurance it was going to be $1000 for the evaluation and $200 for the doctors to go over their conclusions and give a diagnosis if one was needed.

I slept with a heavy comforter last summer, but this year it has been over 100 degrees and we only have a wall unit for air conditioning.

It really is awful. They also believe that autism is mostly caused by vaccines

My mom has a friend who "cured" her kids and I feel so bad for them and now says they're "normal". She made them go through really intensive therapy and forced them to do things they had no interest in doing whatsoever. I really want a weighted blanket, but like you said, they're very...

I love Adam Elliis' comics. I love crystals too and really want his shirt that says "Crystal Daddy" :p It does take more work. There are definitely things I love about being ND, but it can be so exhausting in a NT world. I usually try to hide my flappiness and stimming, but I'm not sure I care...

Hi, I'm Riley! I'm a 20 year old trans man who loves succulents. I am currently self diagnosed with Asperger's (my mom's friend who teaches special education thinks so too) because it's so expensive to get evaluated and because my parents said when I was younger that they wouldn't have an kid on...
