    Mimicking Others' Mannerisms

Sorry if there's already a topic about this, but my head hurts too much to look properly. I was wondering if anyone else finds that they absorb mannerisms, gestures, patterns of speech, sayings, accents etc. from other people without meaning to, or even feeling as though you can't stop it...

    Hyposensitivity

Well done for holding it together! I don't think I'd be able to, lol. Fortunately, my school's small, so it wouldn't take long to get away from the noise.

    Hyposensitivity

@ Ana54 - I'm sorry that it has depressed you, truly. And I wish there was some way I could make it better. *hugs tightly* Nerd by Default - I think I understand what you're talking about with the music, except I'm sort of the reverse; I can't hear the music if people are talking unless I turn...

    Hyposensitivity

What, does the hyposensitivity depress you, or is it caused by your depression? Sorry, I didn't quite understand >.<

Post a random truth about yourself.

My favourite word of the week is marionette. Shame it's difficult to slip into everyday conversation :/

    Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Ah, I absolutely loved this film! I had no idea what to expect when I went to see it in the cinema but was pleasantly surprised =D I adore random movies that are just hilarious because you're never expecting what happens next. This film definately fit that category.

    Hyposensitivity

That's cool that you can feel normal again and it helps you sleep. That must be quite handy, lol. Swap? XD I'm joking.

    Hyposensitivity

@CJLurking - Yeah, that's like what I'm talking about, with the face thing. I just wanted to know that I'm not the only one it happens to XD And yeah, loud, unexpected noises make me physically hurt and it kind of fries my brain, makes me panic. And high pitched sounds can instantly send me...

    Hyposensitivity

Ok, so I know Aspies can be hypersensitive to lots of things and I've also heard we can be hyposensitive to pain. But what about just general hyposensitivity? As in, you can't feel any sensation. If you rub your arm, you can't feel it unless you rub really hard or scratch. Does anyone else...

    Are you happy?

No. Not at all. My life is currently out of control. There's a lot of bad, painful stuff going on and I hate it. And the only ways I have of dealing with any of it are really bad and in the long run just make things worse. I'm having panic attacks more and more often, and along with them...

    Diagnosis

Lol, stealth diagnosis. I think I'll find it a relief to be diagnosed actually. I'm not very bothered about the fact that I have AS. When I first figured it out, which was after reading a book after finding out my brother has AS, I was quite happy that I'd found a reason for all the random crazy...

Just To Start Things Off (calling all girls)

Yaay! Nice to meet you =D Woop, girls with Aspergers exist! XD

    Diagnosis

Heey, thanks for all the advice guys! If anyone tries the hormones stuff I might just go crazy XD I hate it when people try to blame everything on hormones >< I just know I'm going to get horribly nervous when I actually go and see someone, which does make it a bit difficult to act like myself...

Just To Start Things Off (calling all girls)

Yo! I'm really glad there's a section for girls here because I actually don't know a single other girl with Aspergers and it does make me feel a tad lonely and isolated sometimes :/ Hmm, I don't really know what else to say... :D

    Diagnosis

Umm, I'm currently somewhere in the beginning of being officially diagnosed with Aspergers (I'm 16) and quite frankly I'm terrified about what's going to happen because I don't know. *wonders if that sentence made any sense* Basically, I was wondering if anyone would like to be awesome and give...
