Do you have issues/dislike talking on the phone?

I despise talking on the telephone. I'm not exactly sure why, but I become very anxious thinking about it and would much prefer any other form of communication.

    Talking to yourself?

I have always talked to myself. It helps me structure my thoughts, but I do it just as an instinct, not for a logic reason. Sometimes when I am in the shower, I draw graphs on the steamy walls to support my argument.

    Conversations

I could talk forever about the things that I'm interested in, but I dread small talk. When I talk to myself, I am very eloquent, but as soon as I have to talk to somebody else, I become anxious about trying to make the right amount of eye contact (which I still have not figured out how to do)...

    Imaginary friends?

I am fourteen years old and I have had my current imaginary friends since I was about seven. The oldest one helps me when I run, because he's faster than I am and he'll push me to keep going. I also need to talk to my imaginary friends and organize their affairs more when I am in a new...

Silly But Serious Question ; ]

If somebody told me to dance, I would have absolutely no idea where to even start. In fact, I just got up to see if I could just do *something*, even if I'm alone, but all I could muster were some awkward jumps with a few sporadic wrist twitches. So, no. No, I cannot dance.

Would you say or do things online that you wouldn't do in "real" life?

Obviously people act differently in different parts of their lives, so if one considers the internet as simply another environment, then even behaviors that deviate from how one normally acts can still conceivable fit within one's "real" personality. P.S. I'm sorry that I did not directly...

    Aspies and Athleticism

When I saw the title of this thread, I wanted to comment that running is an exception within the category of sports, but then I read your acknowledgement of running. Cross-country is my main sport as well, and it's barely a sport like hockey or football is. For me, running is a mental exercise...

Recent "This american Life" featuring adult aspie discovery

I am "very likely an Aspie". That's curious, because I have never been diagnosed. I only ended up reading through this forum because I've landed here on many separate occasions in the midst of my internet surfing, and I figured that if I enjoy the topics I've read about before on here I would...

what imagination/thoughts do you think about?

Since I was little, I've had "a thinking" every night while I was waiting to fall asleep. My "thinkings" are stories that I would play out in my head usually involving easily-sortable characters, because I have a kind of obsession with sorting people. I also have a family of imaginary friends...

    Personality Type (Myers-Briggs)

I am not on the spectrum, but for the sake of data collection/possible curiosity I shall inform you that my type is INTJ (I have strong preferences for each of my inclinations) . I wanted to thank everybody who contributed to this thread, because I kind of obsess over data (heh heh, I've...
