    Keeping a diary

I personally have never kept one, but i do like to think things out on paper. But a piece of advice would be to not be ultra strict about it. You don't have to start every entry, dear diary- I feel like you're the only one that gets me etc. cliche etc. And you don't have to do it every day...

    Love sucks !!!!

I'm sorry but this situation just sounds way too sticky. I would wait until she's older and independent, then you guys can be together but until she out of her mother's control then . . . I would not advise- sending her money? I'm sorry but that could be perceived as like, something really...

How long is too long to (re?)initiate contact?

Thanks for your words, Turk. I'm sorry to hear that but hopefully you feel a glimmer of validation knowing that you made me more aware about this issue and I now plan on seeking therapy to address it. P.s. you could get help too- it's never too late!

How long is too long to (re?)initiate contact?

I guess the heart of the matter really is- I'm a bad friend. I don't have the organizational skills/ self esteem/ will power to keep up a friendship. It sounds simple I know, just calling a person to hang out but that's hard for me even if I've seen them like yesterday. I have serious fear of...

How long is too long to (re?)initiate contact?

hmmmm this is a toughie. Ok in actuality I would be happy to be his friend he's cool and funny as many Aspies seem to be. BUT- I feel like by bothering to initiate contact with him after so long, it would sort of be implied that I'm more interested in him than in actuality I am, and . . Idk...

Autism/AS - NT love, is it possible?

yus. it's mainly up to you, the Aspie, though. they (NTs) will never be able to understand your challenges but with effort and a little bit o' luck, you can learn to communicate well, although obviously you are still limited. Communication, I believe is the key to bridging the Autism gap.

Have you ever spotted another Aspie?

    I've met several actually.

AspieSam, you is a tad too late. I already made the thread. Idk I think we'll just see how it goes.

Why does there have to be a diagnosis for everything?

I just feel like Dxs are used to explain something away, and people get a false sense of that's all there is to something or someone with out 1) fully understanding the diagnosis and 2) even if they do, it drains their appreciation of the unique beauty of the individual. You become a label...

The (official?) AS online social support for mainly concrete endeavours . . . thread.

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately the CD (which I got from the library) didn't work. grrr. :p

    I've been friend-zoned... Again.

friend zoned is a loaded term. It makes friendship seem like a bad thing one should feel guilty about wanting. lol WHAT?!!! Also, it is frequently a double standard that guys use too although not in all cases, such as this one. sigh. P.s. I just was bursting to say that about that term...
