What's on your mind right now?

I personally am more in nr. 2 situation.

What's on your mind right now?

To go is often: 1. To seek excitement / escape boredom (it has been studied that people rather injure themselves than feel bored...) 2. To escape stress. If one is very stressed, the cortisol prevents brain to operate rationally -> often leads to wrong decissions. For me though your situation...

How Do You Feel About Being Alone?

Together with my wife is the best. But we can be hours together and not talking to each other, but doing our own things.

I think society has a problem

What a great thread! So intresting views and opinnions. @Els wrote down my thoughts already quite perfectly. I only would like to add that it is ourself that writes the story in our head. Sure being on spectrum makes the plot a bit more special, but still the story is written by ourself. I think...

    Aspie Tests (RAADS, AQ etc)

Cant argue but the fact that autism is propably not a disease at all. Differeant wiring for sure.

    Aspie Tests (RAADS, AQ etc)

It is quite hard to get, I think that if one is high functioning, it is very hard to get even tested, as the test resources are saved for those who are in more desperate need.

    Insomnia

That is a handfull to sort out. Glad you have founded help. Also... Low T makes man’s life hell. It is quite the shame, that T has been so demonized by many who just dont know the latest research and facts. One thing also many dont know is that low T makes sleeping difficult, at the same time...

    Insomnia

Old thread but has good info... Thanks people! I personally was recently found out to have severe sleep apnea. And because of that, have been very tired for years. Now got CPAP machine, which is great for being able to breath, but somewhat tricky if and when trying to change position while...

    The Coding Thread

I would love to be able to code properly. Back in the 90’s I did a few websites by hand with HTML&CSS as there were no other ways to do websites. Also studied a bit of Java basics at some point and I have couple of Python courses stored. If I could send message to me in 90’s, I would recommend...

    Struggling with Games

There have been times in my life when I felt that I dont enjoy playing games. I.e. There has been something more interesting to do. And I don’t like all games, there are certain requirements for me to enjoy. Usually it needs some kind of character development / MMO / RPG features.

    My Obsession(s)

Would you have some good summary to link from this?

    My Obsession(s)

My obsessions, although I prefer to call those as areas of special interest have changed a bit during the years, but include: - space (still somewhat relevant) - possible extra terrestial life (still somewhat relevant) - conspiracy theories (mostly about UFO/ET’s, still somewhat relevant) -...

    My Obsession(s)

I btw wonder why there is no sub-section for sports, working out and fitness in offtopic? I think it would be cool to know how people in spectrum excercise more in detail. :)

    What made you happy today?

I quit (or took a brake, time will tell) using social medias (not counting this forum though... I guess I still need some place where to write). It makes me feel good. I also quit reading news. Felt that I cannot handle all that **** anymore. Enjoying this now.
