    Hi

Hi! Thanks for the welcome :) My daughter was delayed in development and speech since she was born. When she was about 5 years old, she was diagnosed with PDD-NOS.

    Are you religious?

Duly noted! I didn't start this thread for a debate, just out of curiosity. This is very interesting and I'm grateful for all the responses. :)

    Are you religious?

The reason it makes me feel sad is that many people are unhappy and I think religion could possibly help them cope and even overcome some of the aspie issues, though the effectiveness would depend upon on great number of factors.

    Are you religious?

I find it sad that most aspies are agnostic or atheist, but it's not surprising. It's our way of thinking and our understanding of the world. We hate being deceived and we are very logical. Most NT (neurotypical aka normal) people are able to believe in a higher power without so much need for...

I'm The Grandmother To 11 Year Old Boy/Possible Aspergers

Hi! Welcome to AC! I'm new too. I can understand how hard it is raising a child on the spectrum being not only the mom of one but also being one. I highly recommend the book called The Loving Push by Temple Grandin. It's a new book that just came out and it's awesome. It's a must read! It was...

    Hi

Hi everyone, I'm an officially diagnosed aspie. I was diagnosed as an adult about a year ago. My physical age is 30 but my mental age is probably around 16-18. I'm a single mom, my daughter is also on the spectrum. I work as a graphic designer. I'm a new, but very devout, Christian. My life...

Big Kid , Stuck in Adult Body, Facing Adult Problems?

I understand about being lonely. I have had a lot of changes though so I'm not as lonely anymore. The troubles and pain we face are only temporary. There's a lot of good in this world, it's just a matter of looking in the right places for it. Here is a good start. :)

    Are you religious?

(It doesn't matter what religion you believe in or what denomination.) Are you an atheist, agnostic, or do you believe in a god? I was an agnostic until this past year. I'm now a devout Christian. I have a very logical mindset. I like science and facts, figuring out things work. We will...

    Selective Mutism

Hi Skylark! I have similar problems with mutism. I have trouble just saying hi, even though there's nothing to fear. It's like someone pushed a mute button on me and I can't physically speak. There are times I have something to say but I can't get the words out, and other times I can't think...

Big Kid , Stuck in Adult Body, Facing Adult Problems?

I feel the same way. I am pretty immature, I don't mean to be, I just am. I find myself doing silly childish things like jumping over things in a playful manner or running when a person my age would probably walk calmly. I do things like that because I think it's fun and it comes naturally...
