For those of you who found a loving partner

I have heard that before, but not quite in those words - that was actually really helpful! Thank you! And I am well-aware that when two people meet each other they also have a history to uncover about each other (if they so choose to) and that those histories have made them whom they are now...

For those of you who found a loving partner

How did you do it? How long did it take? What demons/battles did you have to overcome in order to meet the person you were looking for? Right now, I'm trying to meet someone with whom I can build a relationship based on shared interests and values, and mostly encountering individuals who are...

Obession with trying to "change" the way I speak

Got it. I still struggle with self-confidence, too. I hope you find the thing that does it for you! And that you get your voice to sound the way you want to! Do you have any hobbies or self-restoration practices that feed you spiritually? (Don't get any funny ideas by that "S" word - painting...

Obession with trying to "change" the way I speak

I'm not sure working with someone is the right approach - if you're this down on yourself about it right now you don't need anyone else telling you what's correct or incorrect - that will lead you down that slippery slope of low confidence. I like the suggestion that tree had about reading out...

Someone Else Who Thinks there are 'Perks' to Being Bullied

You somehow traveled through cyberspace into my brain, downloaded my words, and put them onto the forum, you rascal, you!! I think that the writer of this article is not demonstrating stupidity so much as she is tunnel vision. There are a lot of people who would find this funny and empowering...

Microsoft hits the gas in drive to recruit autistic techies

America is disgustingly far behind the UK with this kind of stuff. Can you please send some of your HR visionaries over to us?

    A Bombardment of Yoga Resources

How long did it take you to get to that point? I did 20 minutes yesterday and I felt great at the end but I had a few moments of thinking I was going to break into a million pieces within those 20 minutes.

    Mind Rehearsal

I had to do something within that continuum of activities today. I have a new office and so I had to set up my personal voicemail. I used to be an actor and so confidently just pushed record; I'm grateful that there's a "review message" button because when I listened back I cringed because I...

    A Bombardment of Yoga Resources

I'm amazed that you can sit still for one whole hour! Do you chant as well? I'm trying to look for Sanskrit mantras. Or Buddhist mantras are fine, as well.

    A Bombardment of Yoga Resources

Finally made it to 20 minutes of sitting meditation today! I definitely felt that my strength of will was tested but I felt very cleansed and peaceful afterward. I can see now why the recommendation is 20 minutes minimum.

How do you feel about hugs ?

That is a masterful construction of a phrase if I've ever seen one.

How do you feel about hugs ?

By the type, do you mean the habitual hugger type or the type who hugs without notice after a somewhat personal conversation? That's awesome that you have the kind of relationship with your manager where you can call him out on a behavior that annoys you. I haven't been so lucky yet.

    Y'all remember Riverdance???

I also just found this video of the titular number being performed at the 2003 Special Olympics. Watching this I felt myself well-up a little bit. I never thought one of my obsessions would collide with my protected class so seamlessly and so publicly, and set a world record doing it. (Jean...
