    Please is a stupid word

    While I definitely prefer to be direct and am not a big fan of sugarcoating, I usually like the use of "please" as a courtesy. I find it more annoying when it's overused or just excessively polite, like my professor writing "please" before every instruction in an assignment. It's distracting...
