Are There Online Dating Sites For People with Autism/Asperger Syndrome?

The biggest problem I have with dating sites is the good matches are never online and can't be reached. Most women set such narrow age ranges (and almost everyone wants younger, not older) that I can't message most of them. CL doesn't have those issues. It's all fresh (within the last few days)...

Would you date someone with kids?

Good points! I'm not picky at all about looks. I prefer larger women over skinny (and most are bigger in the over 40 age group) My only real requirements are no kids or smokers, and not too religious (preferably agnostic) and no alcoholics or druggies. I just could not put up with any of that. I...

Are There Online Dating Sites For People with Autism/Asperger Syndrome?

Lately I seem to be getting more response from Craigslist than any dating site. I have been posting ads like "seeking a woman with aspergers/autism" or a "woman with physical or mental disability on limited income". Ads like that do get replies when the right person sees them (or even a friend...

    The Problem With Online Dating

You may want to check out Datehookup.com too. It's similar to POF but has more active forums. I had a few dates off that site too. Everyone seems too religious for me on OKCupid. I tried running a search for agnostics on there and got very few hits. Never got a date off that site yet. Had the...

    NATURE, camping, hiking

Walking and hiking is something I enjoy too. We used to have volksmarch clubs in my area (one in my town) that put on 10 km (6.2 mile) marked walk routes and members would go to all the surrounding events from other clubs. Many were in state parks and hiking trails. Others in historic parts of...

    Kissing

This may sound strange, but when I was young I was afraid to even drink out of a glass that any other family member drank out of unless it was washed. Some strange obsession about "germs". But I gradually outgrew that. Never had a real kiss until I started dating a few years ago. I actually...

    Dating another aspergers lady

I would sure try it if I ever met one. Might work out better. But it would have to be a woman who enjoys plenty of physical contact and snuggling up every night. I don't think I could handle one that wants to be alone most of the time.

Are There Online Dating Sites For People with Autism/Asperger Syndrome?

Dating sites are the only place I have gotten any dates so far.... I live in an area with no activity or interest groups or clubs so I don't have much of a choice... I use POF, datehookup and OKCupid. All have millions of members and completey free to use.... I met at least ten nice women that...

Comment by 'Alabamaguy57' in 'Hi from Florida!'

Yep, north and south FL are totally different. I have plenty of relatives in the Miami area. I grew up in central FL near the space center and now live in southeast AL just above the panhandle region. I'm very familiar with the whole state! (but never been in the keys).

Would you date someone with kids?

It's not that hard to find women without kids. I've met several over the past few years. Most dating sites have an advanced search where you can eliminate anyone with kids (or kids still at home). It's even harder for me because I have to weed out the smokers and drinkers too.

Would you date someone with kids?

I tend to avoid that too. I never even tried to date until a few years ago. Single moms don't have much time for privacy, romance and intimacy which is what I really want. I've been dating a woman with a 14 yr old adopted son and not sure if that is going to work or not. At least there are no...

Is 54 too late to discover that "you're a strange one"?

I'm 56 now and only learned about it 10 or 12 years ago.... Nice to see several people close to my age on here. :)

    Hello from southeast Alabama

Hi, I'm 56 and didn't know I had AS until my early 40s. It's a pretty mild case but still difficult to deal with others. I was always pretty much of a loner too but things have gotten better since a cousin got me on facebook a few years ago. At least that got me to be more open and into using...
