I hate ruining everyone's lives I eventually get to know.

I used to think that way too, but most people don't think the way we do. They enter and exit other people's lives without caring much. So don't worry about it
Walking to the beach again. My father just can’t seem to change his attitude about me no matter how many times he comes out of his craziness. Sad.
At the doctor's office now. This should give me more data for science. Blood pressure 120/81, pretty good!

We're doing lab tests and in a week I should know more. Time to grow those leukocytes and see what they have inside the DNA itself.
Getting married in two weeks, and the nerves are starting to kick in. Nothing to do with the relationship, just the pre-wedding jitters that I think everyone gets. It's a big step. Not that anything will be different at all between us, it's really just signing a silly document. Just somehow feels more tangible and real now, and a little anxiety-inducing. But change is hard for most of us, even good change.

Many blessings for you. You show us that we can strive for a real relationship. You go gurl.

I was asking if you were thinking about starting a family. ;)

@Jonn Nope, no kids for us. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago, and neither of us want kids.
Sorry I didn’t log in for my birthday. We were at the warming shelter the whole time and being stuck downtown actually gave me the chance to fly my sign. I made exactly $30, which is how old I am for my birthday, imagine that!

Thank you all!
Nothing says “I love you, happy Valentine’s Day!” like getting up at the crack of dawn and sharing a giant bowl of tater tots… at least the bowl is festive!

I absolutely love this photo. What a beautiful capture of a sweet moment between you two! Reminds me a lot of my dog.

Beautiful!! That tail is so busy that the camera shutter speed couldn't catch it.
Random thought for the day: The way I hear my own voice in my head (internal monologue) and the way it sounds when I actually speak, are completely different. Anyone else experience this?

I used to sound like an American!:eek::eek:
Too many American TV shows in my youth, I guess.
I am not sure if this is still the case. 🤔

Because I've been recording music near continuously for the past nearly 10 years, I've gotten used to how my voice sounds. It is very weird to hear a prepubescent version of myself though: I found old tapes I recorded of myself back then, and it sounds so strange.

The way my voice sounds to me when I speak (not my internal monologue, but when I actually physically speak out loud) is totally different from what others hear. It has got me in trouble before since sometimes my out loud voice is misinterpreted to imply something I did not intend. Some people say it's a mix of working class NYC and northern Arkansas, as if Tony Soprano lived in Fort Smith, Ark., for a decade. lol
It's 11pm on a Wednesday night and we're just managing to make dinner now! You'd think we'd been doing something a lot more exciting than hanging out at the library, and shoveling the driveway...

It's a sign of maturity, being able to focus on the things that are important to you instead of worrying about what your peer group might think.

Shoveling snow is an amazing work-out, gyms should offer that. :)
