I am now becoming content with how my local social life is developing. Life is improving. If it can happen for me, it can happen for almost anyone else.
I find the weather rather chilling this morn.

I am contemplating the value of clearing the drive, and trying to talk myself out of doing what I have to do :) .

I succumbed to doing the Friday laundry. A tad easier than clearing a driveway though. ;)

LOL...

I'm still drinking coffee, very slowly.
Fun fact: Turtles' sex is determined by the temperature of their nest (cooler/male; warmer/female).

Snapping turtle females travel from wherever they are to the place they hatched in order to lay their eggs. Turtles have made that same historic journey for millions of years.

This is why people find snappers crossing busy roads in the spring.

Are you saying male turtles are cold blooded bastards and female turtles are hotties?

Not just turtles, many reptiles are the same.
I lost 40 lbs in the last 4 months. I used to be 330lbs. Now I am a little under 290.

40 in 4 months? Wow that's a lot! That's very impressive work and effort.
Fun fact: Koalas have fingerprints similar to humans. They're even good enough to fool some forensics.

Cat's out of the bag. I've been breeding gangs of koala pickpockets.

I'll have to switch to squirrels.
I have been introducing a rainbow of veggies into my diet the last month. Leafy greens go well with garlic, I have discovered.

Well done. Wish I could be more motivated along such lines.
Parents are connecting with the Getting Home program. There are now discussions about getting me a Tiny House. Not my preferred route but even my stepfather agrees it’s better for me because homeless life is becoming too much
Fun fact: Squirrels pretend to bury food in order to fool food thieves. They're much smarter than you think.

If the squirrels aren't hiding them, what becomes of the peanuts I put out every morning?

That's a good one! One of my favourites so far!
Visited Episcopalian church last Sunday and turns out their elderly chain-smoking pastor who ducktapes his car together is educated at Notre Dame and Yale alike. He's cool.

Reminds me of that old saying, never judge a pastor by the ducttape on his car. ;)

@Forest Cat it was nice meeting someone who's down-to-earth as well as educated. It makes for a sort of pragmatism that's refreshing after a lot of nonsense from other people.
Today, when I got out of my car, my neighbor's dog jumped in and follow me when I gave her a treat (I'm thinking of how it got to the point, I have dog treats for them).

She is fine. Yes that is Aloe, my therapist was going through coping methods on our very 1st session, I had mentioned the concept of imaginary friends when I was like 5 but my grandmother didn’t like the idea at the time, she was worried I would go too far with it. Then I heard about Tulpamancy. Now we have Aloe.
So, the octopus has nine brains? They must be the smartest of all.

If you're friends with an octopus, do you have to be friendly with all nine brains, or is a 5/4 split enough?
