This is my first entry! Here goes..
The main reason why I'm fed up is that I can't sleep. I've generally always had problems getting to sleep, since I can remember. But this latest bout of insomnia started two weeks ago. I had a terrible head cold that went to my chest, having asthma doesn't help either; but I couldn't breathe through my nose at all! No matter how many times I blew, it wouldn't clear! (Sorry for the gross detail). So that made it near enough impossible to get to sleep, and when I did finally get to sleep it was from exhaustion (at around 6 a.m.).
Needless to say that led me sleeping the day away, although that didn't really matter last week as I needed all the rest I could get. Fast forward two weeks later and I am able to breathe again, despite the lingering exhaustion and cough, but I have adopted an almost nocturnal sleep pattern!
This always happens! You'd think that always having this problem I'd have come up with a plan to help combat it!?!?? Nope! No such luck. I even have special relaxation recordings (from my hypnotherapist), that I listen to. It usually works but sometimes it doesn't.
I'm kind of ashamed to say that if I get completely desperate, I resort to taking strong cocodamol
It's bad I know, I don't always do this though. Nine times out of ten I can sleep without having to stoop that low
I just pray the cycle breaks soon. I'd like to have had it fixed before Christmas at least!
