It is to be expected that some people will guard their 'identity' jealously and not be overly keen to share space with an unproven stranger, who could be merely superficial and in it for fleeting attention. Even in a minority where a shared burden is understood and acceptance is greatly needed there still remains an element of dark insecurity and fear.
