shutdown (thing) by Zifendorf - Everything2.com

I found this about four years ago and while reading one part of it, it described what I get so accurately that I scrolled to check I had not written it myself! :D
Prior to reading this I did not know what I had was called shutdowns or that it was linked to autism. Doctors didn't seem to know so I had gone through my life having been tested for sesmingly everything with no results, as I assumed it as physical and not mental that was the cause. (Looking back I ask myself how it took me so long to realize, and why most doctors didn't make the link?)
Anyway. As I re-discovered the link I thought I would post it, and I will also post this, as it shows what it is like to experience a shutdown that can also effect physically.

Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't see a shutdown in the video?

Oh...
Sorry. I missunderstood.

The virtual reality is identical to how I experience shutdowns, except I end up on the floor as my ability to power my muscles goes, and I have a black curtsin shutting off my eyesight from the top down. It shows his fading in from the outside in. Hope that makes sense?

This is also very true for me. 15 years of going to doctors and wondering what was wrong with me before figuring it out for myself.
