RIP Kris Kristofferson

He was such a good songwriter, he had a way with lyrics.

Well I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head, that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I just watched a movie from 1998 two nights ago called Blade with Kris in it.
Hate to hear the news.
I met him in Tarpon Springs, FL back in the '80s when he had a restaurant called Kris's Place. A girl on both arms. (no kidding).
He smiled and said Welcome to Kris's Place.

I think Sunday Morning Coming Down was my favorite pick.

...and there's nothin' short a' dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down...
