New Zealand Earthquake

Just wondering how our north islander AC members are doing after a 6.3 earthquake. Saw that it was felt as far south as Wellington, but wondering also how far north it may have been experienced. In any event, I hope you are all ok. Take care...

Best wishes to all who have been affected. Please don't hesitate to check in as soon as you're able!

I never knew it had happened until someone told me. As I live near my towns train tracks we get small tremors all the time as the trains go by so I would be slow to pick up on an earthquake if one happened.

Same with me Laughing owl, I am about 1-400 m from the train tracks. The only one I have felt was the one in the middle of the Hauraki gulf in the middle of last year.
