New Year Resolutions

Happy new year!

Any resolutions?

Mine are to get stronger with strength training and to argue less with people

I'm usually making a lot of tweaks and changes all the time, but the ones that currently sync up with the new year:

- Start developing more
- Lift more regularly (I currently do way more aerobics than I need)
- Learn some DSP math and stop being so afraid of numbers
- Overcome my Linux phobia

I try to continue to improve on things but I dont make solid goals of what I hope to achieve by the end of the year. There’s no point setting time frames for things.

I do hope to lose weight and get healthier.
One idea that has been suggested to me by one of my family members when I go shopping is to look at what I'm buying and - rather than thinking "Do I want this?" - instead think "Do I need this?"

Bolding, mine, is similar to how I do it.

But in general now, I have as goals
1. Increase progression toward retirement
2. Work toward better strength and endurance and health for canoeing trips.

I’m the right person to talk to about that. I’m a software developer. Why do you have a Linux phobia, and why do you wish to learn more about this? Do you work with it in your job?
