My Pandora stations

I have over thirty Pandora stations and yet I try to perfect them more often than actually listening to them. This disappoints me whenever I have to change stations even when a cool song comes up. It's just some obsessive thing I guess.

I also tend to not add a song unless I've heard it before.

I use Pandora for the comedy. But like you, I ran into the problem, when it came to music, of trying to perfect the stations rather than actually pay attention to them; and oftentimes, it felt like I was listening to the same stuff over and over.

But, have you ever heard of Songza? I have fallen absolutely in love with it. Instead of algorithms, it's curated by actual human beings, which makes it feel, somehow, more...natural? Organic? Personal? I'm always finding new music to love and explore.

Ok, Songza is pretty cool. Creating a free account provides no benefits and the paid account is pointless as it only gets rid of ads which my free ad blockers already get rid of. They also have too much classic punk.

I make tons of stations and then look back at them and I delete them. I don't try and perfect them but I will skip forward sometimes until Pandora tells me I can't anymore. I do find it frustrating when it recommends something I like but that I don't feel suits the station. Do I give it a thumbs down? Will it pop up in any of the other stations if I do. Dilemma!
