My obsession: Marik Ishtar from Yu-Gi-Oh.

Chances are not many people are into anime on this forum, but I'm sure at least a few of you remember Yu-Gi-Oh from your childhood. Well, I'm obsessed with Marik Ishtar, and I've received a ton of harsh comments over it. Not many people understand that I just can't control it and the man seems like a drug. I thought I was finally learning to be interested in real people, and while that's true I also find that my obsession with him remains.

Anime, in general, is also an obsession of mine. I tend to not be into mainstream anime, which is strange considering my interest in Yu-Gi-Oh. More importantly, I am drawn to tragedy and psychological elements in my stories.

Finally, writing is my biggest obsession and my biggest passion. I love role-playing, and that's actually how I fulfill my Marik Ishtar fix. It involves role-playing with the other person as Marik and me as my own character. Although, I do enjoy writing my own stories too.

My writing is influenced by the anime I've watched.

The last anime I watched, and also completed, is Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika. If you are not familiar with magical girl anime, it's normally a genre of brightness and cheeriness mixed in with transformations and heroines. However, this anime is a bit darker and definitely worth watching if you don't mind tragedy and sadness. It is only twelve episodes too. It is definitely not a series that fits the stereotype of magical girl anime, and that is probably easy to see from the first episode.
