Lifting your leg in photos

Explain to me why lifting your one leg back in a photo (mostly females) I’ve seen… what is the resemblance? Please

It's just a very old media cliche. As if to show a woman is smitten.

Remember E.T. ? Elliot kissed his classmate while standing on a chair (she was taller) so he could kiss her. And when he did, she raised her leg. :rolleyes:

I've never seen anyone ever do that in real life. Just in the movies....lol. If it was a really popular gesture at one time, it would have likely been before I was born in the 50s.

Every time I have tried to pose myself in pictures to look thinner or like I had smaller thighs or a smaller stomach or butt, it backfired and everything looked huge lol
