How do you start organized? Especially artists.

I've struggled with getting my belongings organized since I can remember. The thing I have most trouble with is getting my art supplies and creations in good order. I feel like if I had things organized I would feel inspired to create more art because what usually stops me is not having room to do what I feel like doing. Things were getting good and then I had to move to a smaller place three years ago and it's been a huge struggle getting things in order. I know I simply have too much for the amount of space I have so I've been purging things, but it's hard to let go of enough to make it manageable. My problem is I have supplies to do any craft because I love doing everything! Any tips on getting my creative life in order?

This is timely. Wish I had advice for you Stik - am wishing to be more productive myself. I moved to a house half the size of where I used to live, and have not done a satisfying amount of work since. Maybe inexpensive suitcases could store the non-current supplies. I take pics of unfinished work, which are stuffed behind doors, under beds, etc., then I can browse through and if one seems to 'jump out at me', then I pull it out again to be worked on if I can find it.
