How do you feel about APA eliminating Aspergers Syndrome as a condition?

I am on the fence with this one. I will probably& always identify myself as an "Aspie" because that is what I feel comfortable identifying myself as.

Unfortunately i can only agree with reclassifying Aspergers. I just disagree it being reclassified as Autism Spectrum. It should be classified imo as a symptom of a genetically driven neurophysical change of the brain.

Not behaving like a social mammal is a lifestyle, not a disorder. The secondary traits (anxiety and such) are imo caused by the limbic system getting ignored. It calls for attention which in a differently wired brain would be given more easily.

The main problem with AS is the refusal of society to accept us as we are and we trying to behave like them due to peerpressure.
