Hi Everyone

I am an older (66) person who has recently come to the realization that I am on the spectrum. This began when I retired from my science career, my lifelong obsession, and had to face the world at large and my family's expectation for my greater involvement. I have always been a bit of a mess on the interpersonal side but it seemed much more real without work as a diversion. Exploring quickly led me to the idea that maybe I was on the spectrum. After contemplating the possibility for a few years, I am now working with a therapist who has verified my suspicions.

I feel good about knowing that. It explains so much about my life, both the good and the bad. I am now working toward understanding myself better. I am looking forward to participating in the forums here as a part of that process.
