I have made an account on these forums with the intention of learning more about Aspergers specifically and whether or not I have some form of it. I know you guys may get this a lot, and I am thinking about going to the doctors some time in the future, but I just want to finally understand why I am this way. I'm interested in getting to know people on here and hopefully spotting any coincidences in behaviour. I don't know too much about Aspergers but I have an incline I might have it. I can be particularly verbose and just sort of 'different' in my writing, very obsessive, very anxious and I am very good at certain analytical and logical things yet terrible at everyday tasks. I also feel like an alien, get carried away often and have trouble seeing the whole picture. Basically I'm really frustrated because I don't know what's wrong. Which is why I'd like to know more about this.

Hi Kafka! Welcome to Aspies Central.

I think you're making a wise decision to come to a forum to learn about AS. It's always a good idea to do some research about AS when you (talking in general terms when using that pronoun) don't know that much about it. There are many links here that may be able to help you, and it's also a great idea to interact with others on the forum because many of us have been professionally diagnosed with AS and good number our members also suspect they might have it. I've learned a lot from fellow members of this forum ever since I joined in January, and I'm really glad I found this wonderful forum.

I hope you find all the answers you are looking for and that you enjoy all we have to offer here.

Sportster - I did take a ritvo test or something but it was in the middle of night in a daze and I can't remember exactly what I got. I think I got over the 100 mark, mostly from the social category. I am going to retake it soon.
