I am a new memeber, obviously :)

I am 24 years old, female. The reason for me joining the forum is that i am currently seeing a psychologist who thinks i might have Asperger syndrome. I disagree with this, as i believe i have social anxiety only.

hi, welcome to aspergic, hope you find it usefull and have a good time here

i can understand a psychologist thinking that, as social anxiety is quite a big part of aspergers, good luck with the diagnoses anyway

Mike is actually right about that part. Me, I probably just describe myself as someone who is just socially awkard.
So the chances are pretty much 50/50? Have you been through a depression stage before?

And also I welcome you to the forums Angelstar. :D

Welcome to Aspergic forums. Hope you enjoy your time even if it turns out you are not an Aspie. Even "normal" folks are welcome.

Have you read about Asperger Syndrome and then thought if the symptoms fits you?

The reason i went to see a psychologist in the first place was because of depression.

Also, yes i have read about Asperger syndrome on numerous sites and that is one of the main reasons why i believe i don't have it.
