Bless my elderly mother who hasn’t missed carving a pumpkin in all of my 41 years. She is an absolute treasure. (She is the carver, you’ll find my work on the right, as I let the squirrels do the work.)

Pumpkins make deer, foxes, badgers and hedgehogs poorly apparently. Plus the pumpkins have the residue of candles in them to make matters worse .
