Good morning, my name's Brian/Byron and I've just found out about this forum via Willow's video's on Youtube, so I thought I'd come and join in!

A bit about me:
After slipping through the school system (I am mild AS) and sailing into my early 30's with a pervasive feeling of something being 'up', particularly in the social realm, I was finally diagnosed back in May this year (2010).

I was surprised, as I knew I was mild (my psychologist uses the word 'subtle') to get a full diagnosis. Well, surprised and relieved. In fact mainly surprised because I always doubt my own judgements, especially about myself, not that I had any significant doubts about my Aspiedom. Surprised in a "So you mean I was actually right!!??" kind of way, but now I'm labouring the point. ;)

So now I have most of my life re-framed in the light of this and I can also now start to think of my future in a more realistic way, understanding my limitations but also my abilities in a much better way. And not to be so hard on myself for things I'd previously seen as faults!

Anyyywayyy... Hello to you all!

:D
