Hello, I'm new here and was a member of WP for a while back but got banned a few years ago. So, aspies no longer exist? They took it out of the DSM last year. Anyone familiar with a shift to schizoid states? I can go back and forth but now I'm in the middle and feel quite normal so there is a sense of displacement which is weird so maybe it's not normal after all. I miss being in a group of misfits. I hope I don't get kicked out of here too fast, sometimes I say things that are contrary to everyone and that gets me outcasted, but isn't that what this makes us, being independent thinkers who don't stroke egos just for the sake of getting our backs scratched too? I can make my own back scratcher btw. I do have a theory of mind but also see through the BS of rankism.

Anyways, my obsessions include anthropology, chimps, poetry, and spiritism.

My name is presshush because it sounds like precious because "there is nothing as sacred as the integrity of your own mind". Sometimes I get this yell switch and you gotta remind yourself to press the hush button.

aspies exist! The DSM doesn't determine reality :S Sorry about your experience on the forum which we speak of in roundabout terms here. This is an excellent site to get a new start. Everyone's pretty nice here. See you around :wavespin:

Of course it doesn't determine reality, but when governments base their knowledge and support on what "professionals" tell them and there is no such thing as "Aspergers" it does dictate reality really well (even if it's a problematic situation).

Anyone familiar with a shift to schizoid states?

Most certainly, because ASD and schizo-anything have their own spectrum that they appear together on. This is why my shrink won't formally diagnose me with HF autism (or anything else right now, just that I have something that requires me to see him occasionally).
