Cooking special interest

I am growing poblanos, and they aren't getting very big, but I did stuff a few as chile rellenos :)

Gerald - you can order pasilla and virtually every other kind of dried chile online. I usually buy a variety of dried chiles at the local Mexican grocery store but also order some online.

I have taken cooking classes in the Yucatan numerous times and love to host a yearly tamale party at Christmas with everyone a cog in the assembly line to make tamales. I miss Mexico and can't wait to return.
Very nice. At Akumal on a dive trip is where I had my first taste of Chiles en Nogada. I was hooked. Mexican cuisine is definately world class. Sad that tex-mex is what people here think of as Mexican. Once while visiting Chichen Itza my spouse and I were looking for lunch and we stumbled on to a resort called Maya Land. The food was wonderful. It was a buffet with many different dishes en casuela that we had with freshly made tortillas.
