A message to the mods and my friends on here, before this gets deleted.

No doubt this post will be deleted as yet another passive aggressive move against me. The adult chat room after only a few days has been deleted, as well my own chat room. The moderators here have used passive aggressive tactics and this is just another example. You have decided to go full on Social Justice Warrior. I cannot say I am surprised. Those with aspergers that I have met are either the most easy going people, or the most passive aggressive people you will ever meet that also have some sort of superiority complex. King_oni has been the only moderator during my stay here, that hasn't come across this way. One person complains and you all remove the adult chat, as well as my chat. Rather than coming to me and asking me directly to modify my chat, you just delete it through yet another passive aggressive tactic. My chat room was setup as a place to discuss more political topics, as to deter such topics from being discussed in general chat. Rather than using profanity, I have decided to take the high ground and write this thread. Maybe one day this site might actually improve and actually be a worthwhile alternative to wrongplanet, because honestly besides there being some awesome people that get on chat; the only thing this site has over wrongplanet is a chat room. This site doesn't even have as many topics and the mods suffer from the same issues as I have stated above. Maybe some day you(The moderators) will grow out of being passive aggressive and learn some sort of assertiveness and learn to be laid back. Until then, this site will continue to loose members. If that's what you want, then good job; however if you actually want a site to cater towards those with aspergers that seek refuge and want a comfortable place to talk; you have continued to fail on all fronts.

No staff deleted the 'Shiztopia'.
Rooms automatically purge themselves after a period of inactivity.

I for myself really like the forum, even though I sometimes disagree with the mods' decisions (it's always minor thing so it's okay). I thought it was terrible that your chat has been shut down by the mods, but it turns out it wasn't the case I guess you can always restart the room then!

Would never go back to wrong planet, where people attack others in their righteousness and hurt them for their own narcissistic reasons. Happy that I can come to a place like Aspie Central where the moderators are fair and apply the rules and guidelines equitably.

Find this place after membership at several sites, to be interesting and better that others. Calm and not jammed with troublemakers wanting to convince others of their perceptions as the only ones.

A rule that has been in effect since the inception of AC states:
8. Issues related to moderators and how we moderate should be handled privately with an Admin.

Now,the passive aggressive part of this would be to hide behind my admin position here and sent you a warning with points for violating Rule#8,but I will be fair and not do that to you this time.

Though I'm not a staff member of this site, I'm a person in IT have provided support for many systems. Almost all site have terms on things are and not aloud. Something that is not allowed is based on conflict caused by other members in the past. So it does not mean it anything against you. Kinda like 9-11, after that day, flying on airplanes have changed a lot. This is an extreme example but I think you might understand my point.

Some of you know there was a period I did had a conflict with a staff member which lead me to leave this site. One day, a staff member contact me informing me this person no longer have this role. After that I returned and didn't have any conflict with staff since.

Something to consider there is no site that can cater to everyone needs. If they did, there would be too many problems for the site itself. Some sites have been shut down having things too loose.

I did like the idea of the adult chat room but at the same time, I can understand why this can't be supported here.

This site may not be perfect, nothing is, but at least I haven't been bullied or read any racist comments. I've been a lot more comfortable here than on WP where someone is always lurking around waiting to pick on someone.

The adult forum was removed? I didn't even notice. I never clicked myself in to the politics forum. I imagine that things got not-so-civil in that forum. Politics has been a very divisive issue for me on other forums. I've lost more than one friend both online and off line over politics. I don't know what went on in the politics forum, but it's hard to talk about the issue of politics and keep things as civil as the moderators want it here.
The moderators want this to be a civil website, and that's good. Do they take it too far sometimes? Yes, but I can tell you from experience that a strict moderating staff is better than total anarchy. (Just look at Wrong Planet or Intensity Squared. It's basically anarchy on those sites and nothing ever gets done and there isn't really even any point on going on either of those sites.)
Overall, I am pleased with the moderation on this site.

i didnt even know there was an adult chatroom,i have browsed the regular one once,to see what its about and got extremely overloaded and left it quickly.

i personally think AC is a WP equivilent in its own right,and is far,far better,i have been on WP since 2005,never bought a paid account but i felt a real connection with AC and want to help pay for its servers and upkeep.
yes its smaller but you dont get all the absolute crap that is WP.
plus WP is funded by autism speaks isnt it? it might not upset everyone but for those who know of autism speaks history,including merging with 'defeat autism now', the denial of HFA/aspergers at one point because you guys have fairly internal autism [as opposed to obvious and external]. and the focus on insanely curing those of us under the LFA tag,yes i hate everything they stand for and that includes the websites they have paid to attach to.

The high ground would have been reaching out to us privately. Had you done that, you would have had different, correct information.

I couldn't be happier with the admins and moderators we have here at Aspies Central and they have done absolutely nothing wrong here. On top of that, you are dead wrong in your accusation that the staff deleted your chat room because they did not. I would hope that you will reach out to the staff here privately and apologize to them. Regardless, you have broken a rule here, now, by bringing up issues with staff in public.

If you wish to go back to Wrong Planet then feel free. I am more than happy with the huge growth that we have seen here over the last few years and it only continues to grow day after day.
