    Truth: I never actually read anything. I just hunt and peck for clues as to what stuff says. Especially if it's in paragraph form. I am heavily dyslexic and I nearly cannot read at all. My eyes just dart to different little words and phrases in the text and I make up clues in my head as to what something says. I am often wrong, and this gets me into trouble.

    I saw this blonde woman in a wheelchair, she was actually quite pretty, slim, I felt sorry for her...mild curiosity; "was she paraplegic?"... "was she born that way,".... at no point did I think: "is she a mermaid?"

    My mother did something clever, when I was very young she somehow made me think that washing dishes, cleaning and vacuuming was fun. So when she was doing that, I came running and said "oh please, can I do that? Please!". Genius. :)

    I did the same when my daughter was small. I when it was time for homeschool, I'd tell her it was time to play her "learning games", and when it was time for chores, I'd sing "Clean up! Clean up! Everybody everywhere! Clean up! Clean up! Everybody do your share!" It really helped.
