It's extortion where l live too. The neighbors vandalized my personal property because they are involved in the illegal enterprise so they harass me, go figure. The other house has one or two children living, and that's not allowed as we are 55+ , so they harass me to leave as they know l am aware of that. It's a veteran living with his son who vandalises my property.

If they operate like a typical HOA at some point, they will indeed micromanage you. Even make you "an offer you cannot refuse". Luca and Vito will explain it.

The world is a pyramid scheme with extortion on it's mind. @Judge , yeah, l am just waiting for decapitated horse's head on my front door step. Lol

I don't know if you read my rant post a week or so ago, but I uncovered a big scam per my neighborhood. I talked to two separate FBI agents and have a federal investigation open on it all, now. Nothing about it all was adding up, and their sketchy, identity theft 101 style website didn't help them any, either.

@Dagan - wow, l will go read it. More corrupt people on the planet these days.

@Judge: When I bought this land, nobody said anything about a HOA. I even made sure to research online, no HOA that I could find. Then after about 3 years, suddenly there's a HOA.

Supposedly a HOA was set up in the late 60s when the land was subdivided but nothing was pursued. Then the accountant who had worked on the original subdividing told his BFF about the HOA and asked him to take it over. Suddenly a HOA gets flung in my face out of nowhere.

That's nasty. What does your HOA do? Our HOA does pay taxes, pays for spectrum cable, landscaping, and trash, and water /sewer. And adds to the company's profit.

As far as I can tell, the HOA has hired one of the residents to do stuff like fix the dirt roads after they get ripped up during the winter. Somebody who lives out here is a real jerk and likes to take some sort of big truck and turn the roads into mudpies after rain/snow.
