  • The heat can really sap your energy; I hate to think of the times before air conditioners.

Day four of a five-day triple-digit heat streak. It isn't cooling down at nights now. BAD night's sleep. But running central a/c 24 hour$ a day?

One way or another, people dealt with the heat. You need to still today with any kinda job in the outdoors. Truthfully. The heat, like anything, builds character.

I live in South Carolina and haven't had A/C all year. The electric fan helps, as does opening windows at night to get cool night air into the house. Baggy vintage clothing helps as well. It's hot indoors but I'm fortunate to be able to handle it. In hotter parts of the world, the poor people sicken and die from heat...
I think that creative people are more likely to lucid dream (and be crazy, but I don't see a problem with that).
Today was so hot that my shirt was covered in sweat the minute I stepped outside (No wonder the neighbor's dog was hiding in the garage).
It's weird how bees surround the carcass of an animal, even weirder that said animal is in the middle of the street.
Learning how fireworks work (it is not something you should try at home).

I was 11 years old when they banned fireworks here, so my friend and I learnt how to make our own explosives out of household chemicals and had a lot of fun exploding meat ant's nests. :)
Ugh, four more days until 32 (I wish time would just slow down).

They say after 40 you're not able to process time or ageing anymore, because we're not evolved to. You look in the mirror and are shocked at what you see. The brain hasn't caught up with the medical advances that have let us live beyond what is now known as middle age. However you can slow down the perception of the passage of time with mindfulness. Or you can stop counting 😋
It's a strange feeling when you wake up early.

As long as it is not super early or I'm not super tired already, I often seem to feel more energetic if I get up an hour or two early.
So, snakes were once lizards who evolved to go without legs so they burrow better? The more you know.

Yeah, but you really should be afraid of the alien lizards who are in every position of power in the world. They came to replace us all.
I hate when the internet stops working (especially at night).
