If you want to practice, try boarding some trains and go a few places first. Or maybe you can try the Greyhound bus. Airplane travel isn't my favorite way to get around, by far, and it's expensive, but if you want it as a goal prep yourself and go fly somewhere.

Not if you don't conform to the Real ID Act by May 7, 2025. After that even Tom, Dick and Harry won't be able to board a commercial airliner without the proper ID.

Sorry but that's the biggest bull I have ever heard. How come then every then Tom Dick and Harry fly every month sometimes more. I hear it all the time everywhere. I only flew one time 23 years ago to Toronto.

It's 2024. Anyone can fly anywhere up until May 7, 2025.

After that, they can't unless they possess Real ID certification through a formal ID. Without it, you won't even be able to enter federal government building apart from flying anywhere on a commercial airliner .

I think you might be comparing yourself to a narrow segment of society, most people do not fly frequently.

But to answer your question, the "flyer class" has to fly for work and tend to be in white collar jobs with high seniority. Then because they accumulate miles through flying, they can combine these with the right credit card and get to fly for free for personal reasons.

Most of "my friends" fly almost monthly and it annoys the hell out of me. I also hear it from strangers too. Even here and online I encounter that crap daily.
