What is your question?

Misty Avich
Just wondering what site you're talking about

Was it not apparent that I was referring to generatorland.com?
I will edit today's remark to include the name of the site.

The site owner put a banner on the place in December, and it
says it will shut down on the 31st of December (2023.)

And that date is past.

Oh ok, I did tap on the link but there was a warning icon meaning the page is insecure so I quickly shut the page down before I got a virus on my phone. But I was curious

@Misty Avich

I have used the site for over 8 years.

And given links to it to many people.

At no time did I, or any of them, experience any sort of virus or other difficulty.

I dislike uncertainty. I wouldn’t like knowing that it was still there but could be gone at any moment.

@Misty Avich

It probably had a warning icon because it's an "http://" link and not an "https://" one.

@tree

What kind of a generator site was this? Did it generate random numbers, phrases, names, whatnot? I can do some digging to see if I can find some Python scripts that already do those.

A person could enter their own lists.
Have you clicked any of the links on my Profile to my work, yet?

How about I PM you with a screenshot of the work area of the site?

Oh I see.

Misty Avich, I also get that warning but it's just about an invalid SSL certificate and it's because the owner didn't update something. So it's not a huge deal, shouldn't be a problem. It's not a virus warning.

@Forest Cat
Thanks for explaining that.
I don't like for anybody to think that I am exposing them to something dangerous.

Are there any other sites like this?
